QC Piping Inspector

Job Purpose: The QC Piping Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all piping fabrication, installation, testing, and inspection activities comply with ADNOC, international codes (ASME, API, ANSI), and project specifications. The role involves monitoring quality control processes, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspection & Quality Control: Perform visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on piping materials, welds, and installations.Verify compliance with ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, API 570, and other relevant standards.Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of piping components (pipes, fittings, valves, supports).Monitor welding processes (WPS/PQR/WQT) and ensure welder qualifications are up to date.Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), PMI reports, and NDT reports (RT, UT, PT, MT).2. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed inspection reports (ITPs, checklists, RFIs, NCRs).Ensure proper Material Traceability (Heat Numbers, Weld Maps, PWHT records).Review as-built drawings, Isometrics, and P&IDs for compliance.Coordinate with Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) and Client Representatives for approvals.3. Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to ADNOC COPs, Shell DEPs, and other project specifications.Verify hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, flange management, and bolt torqueing.Monitor corrosion protection (coating, insulation, cathodic protection).4. Coordination & Supervision: Liaise with construction, engineering, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.Attend QA/QC meetings and provide inspection updates.Ensure corrective actions (CARs) are implemented for non-conformities.5. Safety & Compliance: Follow ADNOC HSE policies and ensure safe work practices.Report safety violations or quality risks to the QC Manager.Qualifications & Experience: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Certified Welding Inspector (CWI/CSWIP 3.1/3.2) or API 570/577 preferred.ASNT Level II (RT, UT, PT, MT) certification is a plus.Minimum 5 years of QC piping inspection experience in oil & gas (ADNOC, ARAMCO, or similar projects).Familiarity with ADNOC standards (e.g., ADNOC JOB SPECs, Shell DEPs).Strong knowledge of NDT methods, welding processes, and piping codes.Skills & Competencies: Attention to detail and strong technical reporting skills.Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and inspection software.Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and Isometrics.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Company Industry Department / Functional Area Quality Testing QAQCInspector Keywords QC Piping Inspector Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
