Design Engineer (Valves & Actuators)

NOTE : Please ONLY apply if you have sufficient experience and skills required as per job description below.Job Description : As a Design Engineer, you will utilize your technical knowledge and experience as a key member of a global engineering team responsible for delivering innovative engineering solutions for Surface Safety Products. Under the guidance of the Lead Engineer, you will produce hydraulic, pneumatic, or electro-mechanical system designs using advanced CAE tools. The role requires an understanding of engineering principles, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and awareness of manufacturing technologies. You will focus on customer needs, contribute to continuous improvement, and work in line with business strategy.RESPONSIBILITIES : Apply technical knowledge to design and develop customer-centric solutions Lead small to medium design projects with some supervision Prepare cost estimates and ensure projects stay within budget Design efficient and cost-effective solutions, reusing existing designs where possible Prepare and review engineering documents (drawings, manuals, reports)Participate in sales and internal design review meetings, considering commercial implications Attend client meetings, prioritizing customer care Ensure designs meet client and contract requirements Prepare Technical Requisitions for third-party reviews Develop test programs and conduct factory acceptance tests Implement Engineering Change procedures to minimize disruptions Investigate and resolve engineering queries Stay updated on industry developments for potential design improvements Maintain organized network drives (5S)Maintain professionalism and accurate project records Support other departments and carry out additional duties as required Travel as needed for client meetings, site support, and testing Skills & Experience : BEng (Hons) or MEng Engineering or HND Engineering with relevant experience Experience in similar roles and leading small projects Knowledge of manufacturing environments and engineering documents Experience with FEA, hand calculations, Math CAD, 3D CAD, Auto CADUnderstanding of structural/stress analysis and relevant design codes Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ISO9001 and API Q1 standards Knowledge of the energy industry, surface safety products, and relevant standards and codes About Us : We leverage over 150 years of industry experience to support our customers' success in the oil and gas sector.
