The hotel's beachfront location and open-air facilities are designed to bring a new level of relaxed luxury to the city.About the job Based at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai within the Spa & Wellness Department, the Spa Intern is responsible for booking all spa treatments, explaining services to guests, performing Point of Sale activities including retail, and professionally checking in and out all guests.As a Spa Intern, your responsibilities include: Act as a hotel ambassador at all times.Carry out additional duties requested by management related to hotel operational activities.Assist in the operations of all spa areas as required: Spa Reception, Spa Retail Area, Consultation pods, and Tea Lounges.Maintain the cleanliness of The Spa, particularly the reception & retail areas, consultation pods, and tea lounge, in accordance with the Safe, Sound, and Sustainability standards.Assist therapists in setting up for treatments and clearing away afterward.Ensure the smooth flow of the guests’ journey throughout the day.Recognize the importance of sales in every aspect of the role and be responsible for achieving set sales targets.Attend all necessary training courses.Accurately enter all guest preferences, contact details, and relevant guest history information into Spa Soft.Organize appointment scheduling to maximize time and profitability, prioritizing guests’ needs.Input relevant information into the Guest Comments Sheet when receiving LRA and Trip Advisor comments.Qualifications and skills we are looking for: Senior School qualification or equivalent is required.Bachelor degree (or currently enrolled) in Tourism/Hospitality is an advantage.Minimum 1 year of experience working in a service environment is required.Experience in a 5-star hotel environment is advantageous.Experience working in the Middle East region is a plus.Good knowledge of computer systems is essential.Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and Russian (intermediate level minimum).Ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service.Mature, outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.Our commitment to you Learning & Development: We craft unique programs to support your growth at every career stage.MOstay: Enjoy complimentary nights and attractive rates on rooms for you and your loved ones, wherever you go in the world.Health & Colleague Wellness: We offer various health benefits and wellness programs to support your wellbeing.We’re Fans.
