Steer AI’s advanced AI-powered autonomy stack, developed by the Technology Innovation Institute, empowers the logistics and defense industries by turning industrial vehicles into autonomous powerhouses that can handle complex off-road missions, transforming operations and protecting organizations' most important assets: Their workforce.Role Overview We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design of our next-generation Fleet Management System (FMS)—a mission-critical platform that enables real-time monitoring, control, and optimization of autonomous and human-driven vehicle fleets. This role is ideal for a design leader who thrives in complex, high-context environments where usability, safety, and clarity are essential.You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and operational stakeholders to build user-centered interfaces that support fast, confident decision-making in dynamic environments.What You’ll Do Own the design vision for the Fleet Management System, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience across all touchpoints.Design scalable, data-rich UI systems that support complex workflows and real-time operations.Conduct user research, usability testing, and field observations to deeply understand user behavior and needs.Translate technical system behaviors into clear visual interfaces and intuitive interaction models.Champion simplicity, clarity, and consistency—especially in high-stakes or high-cognitive-load scenarios.Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to align design with strategy and technical feasibility.Build and evolve a robust design system to support speed, consistency, and scalability.Influence product direction by grounding design decisions in deep user understanding and operational context.What You Bring6+ years of experience designing user interfaces for complex software platforms—preferably in enterprise, logistics, autonomy, or mission-critical environments.A strong portfolio showcasing thoughtful solutions for data-heavy, real-time, or operationally intensive tools.Experience translating complex system behavior into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working across product and engineering teams.Nice to Have Background in Human-Centered Design or UX research.Experience designing tools for real-time operations, logistics, or fleet/asset coordination systems.What We Offer We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the Autonomous Robotics industry.
