They work closely with department heads, especially in food and beverage, procurement, to monitor expenditures. The role involves providing insights and recommendations to maintain profitability and cost efficiency while ensuring service quality and standards in a luxury hotel environment.What will I be doing?As Cost Controller, you will collaborate with all Department Heads to control all products entering and leaving the hotel, maintaining luxury standards while achieving financial efficiency. Your responsibilities include: Tracking and analyzing daily operational expenses, especially in high-cost areas like food and beverage, and implementing control systems to prevent overspending.Assisting in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, monitoring actual expenses against budgets, and analyzing variances.Supervising regular stock takes of hotel inventories, ensuring accurate stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and taking corrective actions.Working with the purchasing department to ensure cost-efficient procurement without compromising quality.Preparing detailed cost analysis reports, presenting findings to management, and identifying potential savings or improvements.Collaborating with the culinary team to analyze dish costs and create profitable menu item pricing.Conducting internal audits related to cost control and compliance, identifying financial risks or inefficiencies.Maintaining accurate documentation, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.Providing guidance to departments on cost-related issues to align with financial goals.What are we looking for?A Cost Controller at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts works on behalf of our Guests and collaborates with Team Members.
