Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Create Alert POWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.Job Purpose Responsible for installing, aligning, and securing the gas turbine engine within the test facility Key Accountabilities• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with precision tools• Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and schemes• Familiar with Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems• Experience with handling heavy machinery Responsible for the physical installation, alignment, and securing of the gas turbine engine within the testrig or test cell.Ensures that the engine is correctly positioned and fitted according to technical drawings and specifications.Oversees the safe transportation and positioning of the engine in the test facility.Engine Configuration: Configure and align the engine ensuring all components are correctly connected and integrated Install and check installation to ensure safe, reliable and consistent operation of the engine.Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide post installation support and troubleshooting.Assist with routine maintenance if required Coordination with other teams: Work with the Instrumentation and Fuel System technicians Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation and system configurations Test Facility Manager Communications Regularly liaise with Test Facility Manager to provide updates regarding the progress of the installation and the flagging of any concerns or special requirements.Experience / Knowledge/Qualification At least 5 to 7 years of related experience, preferably, in the aerospace industry, including Test and Evaluation experience, in the aerospace or defense industry Experience with hoisting equipment and fork lift trucks.Extensive knowledge of the required hardware tools necessary to install and connect an engine to its cradle or stand Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and fix issues that arise during installation.High level of accuracy in measurements. Good attention to detail.Strong knowledge of safety protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
