HVAC Technician
Description
· Install new air conditioning systems, including air handlers, condensers, and ductwork, ensuring they meet design specifications and local building codes. Maintenance: · Perform routine maintenance on AC systems, including cleaning, replacing filters, and inspecting components to prevent breakdowns and optimize efficiency. · Diagnose and troubleshoot AC system issues and develop effective repair solutions, such as fixing refrigerant leaks, replacing faulty parts, and addressing electrical or mechanical problems. · Properly handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations. Preventive Measures: · Advise customers on energy-saving and maintenance tips, and recommend upgrades to improve system performance. Documentation: · Maintain accurate records of service and repairs, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Safety: · Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment and adhere to industry-specific regulations. Customer Service: · Interact professionally with customers, explaining the scope of work, providing cost estimates, and addressing concerns. Skills and Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC preferred. · Proven experience as an AC Technician with expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. · Knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical circuits, and control systems. · Proficiency with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting equipment. · Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · EPA 608 Universal Certification is advantageous. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Safety and Security Report work-related incidents or injuries immediately to supervisor. Identify and rectify hazardous work conditions and communicate them to management. Follow safety and security protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Adhere to property-specific safety procedures during critical situations. Monitor and prevent unauthorized access on premises. Use proper gear and lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Complete relevant safety training and certifications. Guidelines and Protocols Maintain confidentiality and safety of visitors and colleagues. Protect proprietary resources and information. Follow organizational policies and procedures. Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment. Maintain professional appearance and presentation.
