The ideal candidate will come with a strong background in financial and strategic research from a Big 4 firm (EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Pw C) or a fund management / asset management company. The role involves conducting deep-dive equity, sector, and macroeconomic research, generating actionable insights for investment decisions or strategic advisory, and supporting global clients or internal teams with high-quality research output.Key Responsibilities: Investment & Equity Research: Perform detailed company analysis including business models, financials, valuation, risk assessment, and peer benchmarking.Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comps, sensitivity) for investment evaluation or strategy formulation.Generate sector-specific research notes and investment ideas with a focus on fundamentals and market drivers.Industry & Thematic Research: Conduct in-depth industry research across sectors (banking, FMCG, healthcare, tech, infra, etc.)Track economic trends, regulatory shifts, and global market developments impacting investments or client strategies.Portfolio & Fund Analytics (for fund-side profiles): Analyze portfolio performance metrics and attribution analysis.Support fund managers with stock screening, rebalancing, and risk insights.Client / Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, global clients, or partners to understand project needs and research scope.Present research findings in the form of reports, decks, dashboards, or live presentations.Tools & Databases: Utilize financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Fact Set, Refinitiv, Pitch Book, EMIS, etc.Maintain internal research repositories and knowledge management systems.Strong fundamentals in financial analysis, equity valuation, and macro/micro trend interpretation Advanced Excel and Power Point skills; strong written and presentation capabilities Familiarity with investment concepts and portfolio theories (for fund-side roles)Exposure to global reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP), investor reporting, and regulatory filings Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver high-quality output under deadlines Educational Qualifications: MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant (CA) / CFA (Level 2/3 preferred)8-12 years of research experience in Big 4 advisory/research teams (e.g., TAS, Deal Advisory, Strategy) or fund/asset management firms Preferred Experience: Research roles within EY, KPMG, Deloitte, or Pw C (Knowledge Services, Strategy & Transactions, Advisory)Investment research at mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, or hedge funds Experience in cross-border, sector-specific, or macroeconomic research Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
