Description POSITION SUMMARYUse appropriate rescue techniques when observing swimmers who need assistance. Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and struggling swimmers. Conduct chemical readings to test pool and Jacuzzi water, and add designated chemicals at scheduled times. Be aware of situations where guests may not be able to participate safely in activities and inform supervisors or managers. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure the safety and welfare of guests and members. Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive. Clean the pool deck, including washing mops and other cleaning tasks.Assist management in training, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and the first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional and clean; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally; answer phones appropriately. Develop and maintain positive working relationships. Ensure adherence to quality standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to improve organizational quality. Read and verify information in various formats, visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects, and use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve work-related information.Move efficiently to respond to work situations, standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds independently; assist with objects over 75 pounds. Manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Navigate over uneven or slippery surfaces, ladders, stairs, or ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
