Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Must have an understanding of various mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, IC engines (marine), valves, and hydraulics.Must demonstrate understanding of motor operations and have the capability to repair and install motors.Must have knowledge of mechanical pumps, including flow ratings and capacities, and be able to understand mounting drawings, as well as repair, install, and operate them.Must be capable of repairing, installing, and operating various mechanical valves and associated hydraulic systems.Must be able to perform servicing and overhauling of various Internal Combustion Engines related to the marine industry as per OEM guidelines.Must have the ability to troubleshoot and commission other mechanical equipment according to OEM standards.Must be able to interpret OEM drawings and diagrams and have a basic understanding of tolerance charts.Must be skilled in using and interpreting readings from various measuring equipment and tools.Must have the skill to use spanners, hydraulic jacks, hydraulic pumps, and other necessary equipment.Must comply with HSE guidelines and work within the framework set by the company and superiors.Scope of work for 2-stroke & 4-stroke engine overhauling: Disassembling and overhauling exhaust valve housings.Servicing and overhauling stuffing boxes.Inspecting main and crosshead bearings.Testing pistons.Removing liners and jackets.Servicing lubricators.Servicing marine engine fuel injectors and pumps.Inspecting timing gears.Overhauling roller guide assemblies.Using deflection gauges.Person Profile: Education: ITI qualification, with a diploma and a certificate course in engine operations or hydraulic equipment preferred.Experience: 3 to 5 years in a ship repair company in a similar capacity, with knowledge of various marine mechanical components listed above.Experience with Man B&W, MTU, MAK, Daihatsu, Peilstick, Sulzer, Yanmar, MWM, Caterpillar, and ZSPR engines, including dismantling, cleaning, overhauling, boxing up, and testing, with knowledge of procedures and sequences preferred.Experience with single, two-stage, and multistage pumps, including dismantling, cleaning, overhauling, boxing up, and testing, with procedural knowledge preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
