Sr. Engineer (Process)

Job Description Purpose & Scope: During the tendering stage, responsible for reviewing enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work, performing pre-bid engineering, estimating man-hours, and providing inputs for bid preparation. After project award, duties include preparing, checking, and issuing Process Engineering deliverables. This includes site visits as needed and coordination with other engineering disciplines, Drafting Office, and sometimes the client's project team. Roles may include secondment as Project Engineering Coordinators, focusing on coordinating various engineering disciplines involved in the project. Duties & Responsibilities: Report to H.O.D. Process and work under their supervision. During tendering, review client enquiry documentation, clarify scope, coordinate with other disciplines, and contribute process inputs for bid preparation. Post-award, perform related tasks. Develop drawings and document registers to ensure all deliverables are accounted for. Establish Process Design Basis based on scope, client clarifications, and site visits. Perform process simulation and develop Heat & Mass Balance as needed. Calculate equipment and instrument sizing. Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process Data Sheets, and other deliverables. Develop Operating Manuals and support commissioning and performance testing. Coordinate with Drafting Office for drawing checking and issuance. Plan safety studies such as HAZOP and HAZID, provide process input, and participate as required. Work closely with Project Engineers and other team members. Skills & Minimum Requirements: B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute. At least 6 years of experience in oil and gas plant design and engineering. Supervisory potential. Proficiency in process-engineering software like HYSIS, PIPESIM, PIPEPHASE. Strong skills in process calculations and use of spreadsheets. Understanding of all engineering disciplines. Knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, including report writing. Good technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. Strong planning and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, and SIMOPS. #J-18808-Ljbffr
