Job Title: Structural Inspector AECOM is currently seeking a Structural Inspector to join a residential project based in Abu Dhabi. The Structural Inspector is responsible for all aspects of the project related to structural works. The duties must be performed professionally and expeditiously to support the ongoing progress of the project. The role includes management of the inspection team. Responsibilities: Perform a broad cross-section of complex technical and administrative activities requiring extensive experience in Contract Compliance, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA) inspection of structural scope related to the project. Analyze applicable codes, standards, and project contract documents; monitor construction activities to ensure compliance. Interpret or clarify contract documents for Contractors. Maintain and prepare records including daily/weekly progress reports, material accounting, change orders, and record drawings. Assist the Project Engineer/Site Engineer. Supervise, direct, and coordinate the inspection team. Conduct weekly meetings with inspectors and the Project Engineer. Ensure responses are complete and in compliance; work with the Project Engineer to resolve issues. Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and submitted plans. Assist the Senior Discipline Engineer in identifying and evaluating technical issues to maintain the schedule. Highlight violations through issuance of NCRs. Attend progress review and coordination meetings to resolve site issues. Participate in snagging and project handover coordination. Support the Resident Engineer/Team Lead for smooth project execution. Liaise with the Design Engineer on modifications if needed. Provide daily site reports and highlight issues to the Project Lead. Contribute to report preparation as directed. Monitor health and safety; report and stop unsafe practices if necessary. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor Degree or Diploma in a relevant subject. Specific Skills Required: Site experience in design, estimation, installation, and all site activities related to structural works for large-scale building projects. Familiarity with structural engineering methodologies, equipment, materials, tools, and manpower management. Ability to interpret and execute structural drawings. Knowledge of authority requirements. Experience with high-rise residential and commercial buildings, including startup and handover of major projects.
