Senior UX/UI Product Design Consultant, UAE

This role offers the chance to elevate your consulting career in one of the world's most dynamic business hubs, shaping the future of innovation and growth for our clients.The UX/UI Product Design Consultant will collaborate with development teams to design desktop, web, and mobile applications.You enjoy solving complex challenges and thinking outside the box. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will understand client requirements and present your ideas effectively.This role is freelance, involving sporadic engagements with varying scope and duration. It is not a full-time position.RESPONSIBILITIES: Defining User Experience: Managing the overall flow, layout, information presentation, interactions, and data visualizations for projects.Problem Solving & Innovation: Collaborating with clients to address workflow challenges, visualizing market data innovatively, and identifying essential tools and features.Client Collaboration & Iteration: Sketching, presenting, and refining design ideas in real-time, incorporating feedback efficiently.Exposure & Adaptability: Gaining experience across diverse business areas and technologies, learning quickly, and building rapport with end-users.Project Delivery: Working closely with product and development teams to deliver designs aligned with timelines and client goals.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: 8+ years in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or Information Architecture, with ability to define and lead processes.Experience in user research, sketching, wireframing, and UI/Visual design.Strong interest and competence in solving real-world business problems.Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.Effective communication and influence skills.Determination, positivity, resourcefulness, and independence.Excellent communication skills.Flexibility and adaptability.Degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or related fields is preferred.Must be registered as a freelancer in the UAE; portfolio (.pdf or link) ready at screening.DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Designing complex, interactive enterprise systems.Knowledge of global financial markets and products.Strong organizational skills for operational efficiency.Experience in agile environments.Ability to deliver high-quality work on schedule.Experience with cross-functional teams.Banking experience (corporate or retail).Experience with Responsive Web, Android, and i OS platforms.Ability to collaborate closely with product and engineering leads.Consultancy experience is a plus.Lab49/ION is committed to diversity and inclusion, respecting varied backgrounds, abilities, cultures, and traditions, and values different perspectives.
