About This Role Asa Simulator Technician the incumbent willsupport all training center operations activities to provide smoothefficient and highquality service at a brandnew Training Centerlocated in Dubai UAE.In addition the incumbent willstrive to achieve CAEs goal of providing worldclass flightsimulator training center operations aligned with CAEs Vision as aglobal training partner of choice to enhance safety efficiency andreadiness in all aspects of training centeroperations.The rolewe are offeringyou: Support alltechnical and operational aspects of the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices asapplicable.Attend flightcrew and maintenance calls perform daily readiness support flyoutsas required perform scheduled preventative maintenance and run Qualification Test Guides(QTGs).Identify diagnosetroubleshoot and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.Identify recurringissues and work to pursue permanentsolutions.Seek and makeimprovements to procedures related to various training devicemaintenance tasks.Throughcoaching and mentoring provide onthejob technical training to othertechnicians fostering the professional development of allpersonnel.Work with thespecialists on complex issues that require extensive testingtroubleshooting research anddesign.Assure maintain andsupport the FSTD operations Management System includingimplementation and adopting processes and procedures as deemedrequired.Perform recurrentminor updates of Nav DB Terr DB OIS & EFB Charts Documentsand Perf Data as well as IOS Lesson Planuploads.Maintain track andrequest consumable items and tools required to perform the PMTs and Daily Readiness.Supportlogistics duties including yearly inventories rearrangement ofstores packing preparation for shippingetc.Pursue knowledge andskills to become a technical expert in one or more simulatorsystems. (i.e. Visual Motion Flt Controlsetc)Workplace Culture / Health and Safety /Environment: Fostera workplace culture that is consistent and aligned with the overallorganizational culture and emphasizes the mission vision guidingprinciples and values of theorganization.Paramountimportance to occupational Safety and Health in the workplace andassociated metrics.Supportcompliance and environment activities aligned with CAE Management System and Global Environmentalpolicies.Ourideal candidatehas: Technical College Diploma or Degree in Electronics Electrical or Aviation Field and at least 3 to 6 years of related workexperience.Excellentknowledge of the English language read spoken andwritten.Highlycustomeroriented able to establish and maintain effectiverelationships with thecustomer.Skilled workingknowledge of computer mainframe/architecture networking operatingsystems and programming languages. Ability to make minor softwarechanges.Proficienttechnical background (Hardware and Software) and familiarity with FSTD technical issues across all systems specifically: motionvisual avionics dynamics of flight aircraft systemsetc.Proficient knowledge ofvarious aircraft types including Commercial Jetliners (Airbusfamily).Proficientunderstanding of aircraft and training deviceterminology.Goodunderstanding of Commercial Aviationtraining.Effectiveknowledge of local & International (EASA UAE DGCA etc.regulations with demonstrated experience as they pertain to FSTDs.Proficient computerskills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.Aboutus At CAE our cuttingedgetraining and critical operations solutions empower pilots airlinesand defense and security forces to perform at their best every dayand when the stakes are the highest.
