Planning Engineer

Description The Planning Engineer “in associationwith the resident engineer” shalldevelop the Project execution plan considering the proper engineering techniques and milestone sequencesfor the Project.Candidate will set targets foractivities based on each projectactivity and ensure it meets DM’sspecifications and requirements.Planning engineers shall estimatetimescales and costs using specializeddesign software packages(Primavera). One of the major Planning Engineer's roles is tomonitor “day-to-day” work progressfor the Project and provide accurateweekly and monthly reports by swiftlycommunicating potential progressdelays or project slippages.Tracking and analyzing field results is anotherkey responsibility. Planning engineerscontinually compare planned andactual progress and report anydifferences to their lead projectmanager. Candidate also studies the impactof alternative approaches.Qualifications The Planning engineer musthave a relevant degree from arecognized university and a civil engineering backgroundwith knowledge and workexperience of not less thanten years in design andconstructionprogramming/planning ofsimilar projects.About Stantec We’re active members of the communities we serve.
