Mechanical Technician (Pumping Station)

Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps motors valves compressors and other mechanical systems.Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in rotating and static equipment.Replace wornout parts such as bearings seals gaskets and couplings.Conduct daily inspections of mechanical systems to identify leaks vibrations or unusual noises.Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities to the engineer.Use the CMMS to perform maintenance tasks and ensure all data is accurately recorded and uploaded into the system.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or system failures.Support emergency repairs to minimize downtime and environmental impact.Maintain clean and organized work areas around mechanical installations.Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks.Work closely with electrical technicians operators and engineers.Report maintenance activities and issues to the engineer.Assist in training junior staff or apprentices.Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health Safety and the Environment by understanding and communicating relevant policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and the companys safety policies and procedures related to maintenance and repair activities.Qualifications : ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.23 years of handson experience in mechanical maintenance preferably in sewerage irrigation stormwater pumping stations or STPs.Experience with sewage or fluid handling systems is highly desirable.Basic computer and CMMS skills for logging maintenance activities.Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.Additional Information : We believe our employees are key to our success hence we offer an inspiring working environment where our people feel rewarded & engaged.
