As a Boiler Operator, you are responsible for operating or maintaining stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings and/or industrial processes. Your key responsibilities will include: Attending to boilers and equipment to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings, marine vessels, or pneumatic tools. Recording test results on specified forms and providing information to superiors. Testing sample quality using testing devices to ensure it meets specifications. Operating, controlling, and observing gauges to regulate heat and steam to ensure proper machine function. Obtaining samples from designated locations on boilers and carrying samples to the testing laboratory. Recognizing, detecting, or assessing problems through monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment. Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problems that can be resolved. Suggesting and recommending ideas for improving maintenance and equipment performance. Skills, Education, Qualifications & Experiences You should ideally be a licensed high/low-pressure boiler operator with previous experience in a similar role and proven knowledge of operating equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers. A good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems are essential.
