Resident Engineer (Drainage, Road, Water Recycle & Infrastructure)

Requisition Number: 23651BRDescription: The Resident Engineer will oversee the progress of construction projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and meeting stakeholder expectations. This role requires extensive on-site presence and coordination with various stakeholders throughout the construction process.Key Responsibilities: Technical Delivery Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, including material delivery, contractor schedules, labor resources, and equipment usage.Review design proposals, work programs, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, payments, variation orders, and claims.Manage site supervision staff to ensure works adhere to contract specifications.Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality, and safety standards among contractors, subcontractors, and workers.Collaborate with designers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance.Review progress and status reports, advising on adjustments to meet project requirements.Provide project updates to clients and teams, requesting approvals or change orders as needed.Work with contractors to propose solutions that improve quality and reduce costs.Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to management.Coordinate schedules and resources with other Resident Engineers on different projects.Monitor material quality and workmanship.Maintain daily diaries and reports, liaising with clients, management, contractors, and authorities to resolve issues.Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.Ensure familiarity with contract conditions and quality assurance processes.Liaise with clients, government agencies, and other consultants/contractors.Enforce company processes and policies, including safety guidelines.Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.Follow safety policies to ensure personal and team safety.Collaboration and Teamwork Work with engineers to solve design problems and perform basic calculations.Conduct technical feasibility studies and site investigations.Coordinate with clients, contractors, supervision teams, and engineers to facilitate project completion.Client Service Management Maintain relationships with internal and external clients, including DM Infrastructure liaison.Build and sustain positive relationships.Experience in utility diversions and management is preferred.Safety and Quality Follow safe work practices and company policies.Complete work in line with Stantec’s core values and quality procedures.Design with safety considerations, including Construction Design Management.Other Duties Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Construction Manager.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 20 years of experience in drainage, pumping stations, roads, water recycling, and infrastructure projects.Must have PMP certification and proficiency in Primavera and MS Office.Experience working with construction managers, site teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.Experience with DM Infrastructure and water recycling projects is an advantage.#LI-Middle East About Stantec: We are active community members.
