VAT Officer

Job Responsibilities Compliance and accounting of Tax (Corporate Tax and VAT) liabilities.Managing Tax implementation strategies, compliance, planning, and internal procedures.Preparing, validating, and submitting all required Tax returns, supporting schedules, and any documentation/responses as may be required by the Federal Tax Authority.Implementing Tax principles, policies, and processes to ensure the completion and compilation of Tax mechanisms across the Group.Acting as the single point of contact for all Tax-related activities and providing periodic training and mentorship to departments within the business concerning implementation, documentation, and compliance.Keeping abreast of all Tax (Corporate Tax and VAT)-related laws and rules.Determining the Tax compliance implications associated with various business initiatives/proposals.Ensuring compliance with Tax data collection, review, consolidation, preparation, and payment of quarterly Tax liability (Quarterly for VAT, annually for Corporate Tax).Preparing and submitting to the management monthly reports on the Tax activities of the business.Well-versed in the usage of UAE FTA portals.Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Finance.Experience in accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws, and standards.Preference for Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in UAE VAT.3 to 5 years of experience in UAE - VAT or Tax transactions.UAE - VAT/Tax compliance background includes preparing and reviewing tax returns.Good data analytics skills (including proficiency in Excel) and problem-solving skills.Effectiveness in prioritizing competing demands in a fast-paced environment and ability to deliver on tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management.Strong sense of responsibility and accountability combined with the ability to work independently with limited general supervision. #J-18808-Ljbffr
