The role includes managing maintenance teams and ensuring the proper functioning of cranes and related systems offshore, while supporting crane component overhauls in the onshore workshop. Flexibility to switch between offshore duties and workshop support is essential.Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas Offshore Crane Maintenance: Supervise and coordinate 5-yearly major maintenance for offshore lifting equipment, including pedestal cranes, EOT cranes, and davits.Oversee troubleshooting and repairs of offshore cranes, hoists, and associated gear.Conduct inspections, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards (e.g., LOLER, CE Marking).Implement preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and monitor performance to minimize downtime.Supervise maintenance technicians, providing leadership and ensuring safety and quality.Respond to offshore crane breakdowns, leading troubleshooting and repairs.Document maintenance activities and report to Project Engineers.Enforce HSE protocols during offshore operations.Provide onsite technical support and leadership.Ensure safe and efficient shift operations.Manage QHSE matters at shift level, reporting to the Contract Manager.Follow scheduled and unscheduled maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.Assist Project Engineers with equipment and client issue reporting.Maintain shift paperwork, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.Onshore Workshop (Crane Component Overhaul): Support disassembly, inspection, overhauling, and reassembly of crane components.Lead workshop teams in repairs, replacements, and reconditioning.Review technical manuals and drawings to ensure quality.Oversee testing and quality control of overhauled components.Maintain safety standards during overhauls.Coordinate logistics for transporting crane components.Collaborate with offshore/onshore teams for maintenance schedules and spare parts availability.Complete job cards and daily reports as required.Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanical, electrical, or crane maintenance are required.Proficient in English (written and spoken).At least 8 years offshore experience, with 2+ in supervisory roles.Experience in strip-down and rebuild of winches, motors, and pumps.Experience in testing and pressure testing crane components.Competent in crane maintenance and inspections.Ability to interpret maintenance, hydraulic, and isometric drawings.Ability to develop and follow technical maintenance procedures.Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.).Preferred Qualifications Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related fields.OPITO-approved BOSIET.OGUK medical certification.Interest in advancing technical and management skills.Offshore experience.SAP system knowledge.Personal Qualities Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS).Good understanding of crane overhauls and component reconditioning.Effective communication skills.Safety-first mindset.Flexible working attitude.High personal integrity and professionalism. #J-18808-Ljbffr
