Field Service Engineer Hitachi Energy

You as a Field Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be responsible for the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base, as well as High Voltage Products (GIS, LTB, AIS, GCB & Power Quality) maintenance services to our utility and contractors in UAE. This would involve performing preventative maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and warranty repairs on High Voltage Products, as well as performing commissioning activities and the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements. The position also includes the coordination of investigations of customer-reported issues and assisting to achieve equitable solutions for our customers.Your Responsibilities Strong knowledge in High Voltage Products Services & Service portfolios and carrying out installation & commissioning and maintenance services independently.Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of mainly GIS and LTB, AIS & Power Quality Solutions, and routine maintenance services, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different Service categories.Ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed; specifically, abiding by the guidelines for work on live system components and supervising adherence to safety and industry acceptable practices.Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing specialist support and solutions and recommendations to customers for immediate and future service requirements, providing feedback to the Service Sales team.Acting as representative of the OEM during interaction with the customer and preparing the tools, equipment, and parts needed for a service job, understanding the scope of the job to be performed, and ensuring that the documentation for the job is available and briefing the service manager, head of department, or supervisor about the expected situation on site.Creating service reports, time sheets & delivery notes, duly signed by the customer, and acting as the voice of the customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.Supporting service and delivery of site activities for High Voltage Products / Equipment maintenance works and effectively managing multifunctional interfaces – internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub suppliers.Showing personal leadership & maintaining a teamwork environment to deliver assignments. Strong self-disciplined approach to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery and updating installed base in IB Analyzer (the approved service database) with the changes made at site.Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, responding immediately to issues and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management.Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant / Substation / Oil & Gas / Process Industries site and seeks to improve these continually and to work across various domestic and international time zones when required.Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background A bachelor’s or diploma in electrical field is required.Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in High Voltage Products and equipment (GIS, LTB, AIS), Power Quality Products (PQPS) installation testing and commissioning, repair, and maintenance, monitoring and measuring devices, maintenance work of High Voltage Products and Equipment, PQPS used in industries or utilities companies.Experience in sub transmission GIS installation and commissioning including substation services and preventive maintenance activities and PQPS Installation & Commissioning services is an added value.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.Apply now Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Job type: Full time Experience: Experienced Job function: Engineering & Science Contract: Regular Publication date: 2024-07-02Reference number: R0036163 #J-18808-Ljbffr
