Job Title: Piping Superintendent Employer Industry: Engineering / Construction / Oil and Gas Work location: Abu Dhabi, UAEExperience: Minimum 12+ years in piping construction, in a superintendent role on major oil & gas projects (ADNOC experience is a plus).Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) or Diploma with extensive experience.Only Candidates who are currently available and can join Immediately will be considered.Job Summary The Piping Superintendent will oversee all piping construction, installation, and commissioning activities for a long-term ADNOC project in the UAE. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while managing subcontractors, schedules, and resources efficiently.Key Responsibilities1. Construction & Installation Supervision Supervise and coordinate all piping construction activities, including fabrication, erection, testing, and pre-commissioning.Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes (ASME, ANSI, API).Review and approve isometric drawings, P&IDs, and piping layouts.Monitor welding, hydro-testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities.2. Planning & Coordination Develop and monitor piping construction schedules to meet project milestones.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.Ensure material availability and manage work fronts to avoid delays.3. Quality & Safety Compliance Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and ADNOC safety regulations.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality workmanship.Implement ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and ensure proper documentation.4. Team & Subcontractor Management Lead and mentor piping supervisors, foremen, and contractors.Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work meets project standards.Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for project management.Maintain records of inspections, tests, and as-built documentation.Report any non-conformities and implement corrective actions.Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) or Diploma with extensive experience.Experience: Minimum 12+ years in piping construction, in a superintendent role on major oil & gas projects (ADNOC experience is a plus).Technical Skills: Proficiency in piping systems, welding, stress analysis, and ASME B31.3.Certifications: ADNOC approval, OSHA/NEBOSH, CSWIP/IWTC (welding), and COSHH training.Software: Familiarity with Auto CAD, PDMS, or SP3D.Key Competencies Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Company Industry Department / Functional Area Keywords Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
