Job Title Engineering Manager Digital Lab Summary of the Role In close collaboration with the Travel Unit of the EMEA Region (Engineering, Delivery, Sales, Pre-sales, Services, and Customer Success Management), this role is responsible for coordinating budget, staffing, and delivery activities for a strategic digital transformation initiative with a key airline partner in the Middle East.The scope covers digital customer touchpoints including prime booking, post-booking services, exchanges and refunds, self-service check-in, and disruption management across web and mobile platforms. The initiative involves over 20 dedicated resources across multiple EMEA sites, with a local governance team based in Dubai.The Engineering Manager will ensure engagement of appropriate engineering expertise, capacity, and agile delivery across multiple Agile Release Trains. They will align program execution with the customer's digital vision and uphold high standards of quality and excellence.The role also drives continuous improvement of the Digital Lab setup, agility, and operational effectiveness in collaboration with the Head of the Digital Lab. Success is measured by high customer satisfaction, seamless cross-functional collaboration, and translating complex business needs into sustainable digital solutions.Main Responsibilities Common Accountabilities Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performance, recognized as a leader, and capable of training specialists.Understands business drivers impacting their area, assesses complex problems, improves processes, and communicates complex information effectively.Works autonomously, leads projects, and participates in resource and budget planning.Specific Accountabilities Manage client relationships throughout all project phases.Analyze and document solutions for cross-functional changes and complex solutions.Collaborate with commercial teams to meet client needs.Identify repeatable solutions for departmental optimization.Provide regular updates to stakeholders.Support product, sales, and account teams with technical recommendations.Assist in preparing RFI/RFP responses and customer requests.Recommend new solutions with R&D teams.Analyze customer and internal needs to propose solutions.Support complex business opportunity studies.Suggest improvements for customer satisfaction.Maintain and share solution expertise within the division.Define and implement communication and training strategies.About the Ideal Candidate University degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years in Product Management, Implementation, Project Management, or Technical Consulting in the travel industry.Fluent in English (written and verbal).Understanding of Amadeus Alt a product suite.Strong presentation, consultative selling, and relationship skills.Ability to influence and manage change.Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is a platform connecting jobseekers and employers.
