Site Based Civil Resident Engineer

Position: Site-Based Civil - Resident Engineer (RE) Department: Construction Supervision Reports to: Job Location External Network Interaction: Director of Construction Supervision, BEAD Architects & Engineers, Project Sites Main Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers, Authorities, and Government Agencies Internal Network Interaction: Managing Director Director of Construction Supervision Design Director Technical Director Contracts & Operations Director Administration Staff BEAD Responsibilities Perform site supervision duties on civil works, infrastructure, sub- and super-structure concrete works, and other works as directed, according to project drawings and specifications. Coordinate with Sub-consultants, review their design input, and conduct technical reviews of all related design documents to verify constructability. Review, comment, and raise recommendations on Contractor's materials and engineering submittals. Assist BEAD’s team in construction-related matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Participate in technical meetings at site and head office as required. Clarify and respond to RFIs and questions from the Contractor, providing solutions. Coordinate with all disciplines for works within the overall project. Demonstrate knowledge of civil works, construction activities, and installations. Understand roles and responsibilities of supervising engineers and industry procedures. Apply creativity, dedication, and professional judgment to solve unprecedented problems. Plan, manage, schedule, and sequence construction activities effectively. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university. Minimum 10 years’ experience as a professional, with prior role as a Site Supervision Engineer in a consultancy within the GCC region, preferably UAE. At least 8 years of specific supervision experience on high-rise building projects at all stages. Fluent in English (reading and writing); bilingual skills are a plus. Knowledge of contractual clauses, FIDIC contracts, and technical correspondence. Proficient in industry-related software and web-based applications. PMP certification is an advantage.
