Maintenance Support Specialist

Job Purpose Assist by overseeing and coordinating maintenance support services contractors carrying out welding, rigging and lifting, scaffolding, leak seal, Non Destructive Examination (NDE), pressure vessel, Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), and civil maintenance and improvement activities for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) in accordance with regulatory requirements, operating policies, nuclear safety standards, industrial safety, and environmental protection.Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountabilities Activity: Maintenance Support Services Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Execute and support maintenance support job tasks promptly and with quality to ensure safety and reliability, including managing maintenance support services contractors.Conduct inspections, repairs, maintenance, modifications, and rebuilds of plant equipment and structures as directed to ensure support maintenance activities are aligned.Analyze equipment deficiencies, human performance, and safety events to establish corrective actions.Follow safety, radiation, human performance, and regulatory compliance requirements to promote a safety-conscious environment.Support training, benchmarking, and WANO best practices for continuous improvement.Follow resource-loaded schedules to accomplish maintenance tasks.Implement maintenance programs to enhance plant reliability.Perform work minimizing radiological exposure to meet ALARA goals.Support mobilization of contractors to ensure safety and alignment of activities.Oversee welding activities, maintain craft qualifications, and review procedures and documentation.Supervise hoisting and lifting operations, ensuring safety and compliance.Inspect scaffolding materials for quality and safety standards.Oversee leak-sealing repairs, selecting suitable techniques and equipment.Examine materials for defects like corrosion or cracks to prevent failures.Inspect gas mains to ensure conformity with standards.Promote FME prevention techniques and prepare staff for external evaluations.Oversee construction and maintenance of structures, ensuring standards compliance.Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support Support outage and ERO activities to ensure safe and reliable operations, including shift work support if required.The incumbent is expected to perform activities as per the specified procedures related to health, safety, environment, security, business continuity, and quality management.Qualifications and Experience High School Certification3 years of relevant experience or equivalent Bachelor of Science degree preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
