Senior Project Engineer
Description
Work is assigned based on objectives, priorities, and critical areas affecting other units. It is carried out within broad guidelines, with informed guidance available. Responsibilities: Assign and outline work; advise on technical problems; review work for technical accuracy and adequacy. Make recommendations on staff selection, training, appraisal, and discipline. Assess the impact of decisions on results; ensure recommendations are sound and feasible. Cost Control: Plan and prepare accurate project estimates. Establish cost reports for project control. Monitor and control all project costs, including forecasting, approvals, trend analysis, and cost-saving opportunities. Desired Candidate Profile: Job Specific Knowledge: Minimum 10 years of project engineering experience on smaller projects in brownfield or greenfield environments, with commercial and contractual expertise, and proven leadership of small multidisciplinary teams. Industry Experience: At least 15+ years of experience in Hydrocarbons industry. Qualifications: Relevant education, training, and accreditation. HSE Capability: Strong commitment to HSE management, awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues, and proactive measures to ensure zero harm and zero incidents. Maintain HSE focus within the team during design and procurement phases. IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with typical engineering software. People Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a high customer focus. Other Attributes: Adaptable to challenges and change.
