This role involves overseeing the development of robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions while fostering a high-performance engineering culture.Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and team productivity to meet business objectives.Engineering Execution: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of backend systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, align on goals, and deliver high-quality solutions.Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with product managers and designers to define project requirements and timelines.Drive the implementation of new features and improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Collaboration & Communication: Act as the liaison between the frontend team and other stakeholders.Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.Technology Trends: Stay informed on emerging technologies and development trends, applying them to drive innovation and technical excellence.Skills And Attributes For Success Performance will be assessed based on measurable achievements, such as cost savings, reductions in productivity loss, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies and standards, and customer satisfaction scores.Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.10+ years of experience in backend engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams.Expertise in designing and maintaining high-performance, low-latency backend systems in Java, Golang, Python or similar technologies.In-depth knowledge of databases (Mongo DB, My SQL, Postgre SQL) and modern architecture patterns like microservices and event-driven systems.Ideally, you'll also need: Deep market and domain knowledge Commitment to continuous improvement and innovative problem-solving Strong communication and collaboration skills What We Look For If you are a performance-driven, inquisitive mind with the agility to adapt to ambiguity, you will fit right in.
