Job Description - Commercial Director at The Plaza Doha LXR Hotels & Resorts (HOT0BPJX) Job Description Commercial Director at The Plaza Doha LXR Hotels & Resorts Job Number: HOT0BPJX Work Locations The Plaza Doha, LXR Hotel & Resorts Saeed Bin Al Aas St; C Ring Road Umm Ghuwailina Area Doha The Commercial Director is responsible for developing a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize total revenue, profit performance, and market share penetration of the hotel. What will I be doing? The Commercial Director develops and executes commercial strategies across all segments and channels to enhance revenue and market share in EMEA. This role involves supporting the Revenue Management, Sales, Catering & Events, Marketing, e Commerce, and Public Relations teams, working with area support teams. F&B commercial activities are shared with the F&B Manager, Director of Operations, GM, and the Commercial Director. The role includes developing teams and individuals, acting as a key business partner to the Hotel General Manager, and supporting the hotel in maximizing value from Hilton sales teams. The Commercial Director also builds strong customer relations, represents the company with owners and stakeholders, and ensures systems are used effectively to maximize revenue across all departments. The position involves leading, coaching, developing, recruiting, and retaining talent, managing performance, and evaluating team members based on KPIs within a 4D structure on property. Specific responsibilities include: Driving the top-line budget and forecast by implementing strategies using Hilton's commercial tools to meet revenue targets across all streams, including Rooms, GC&E, F&B, Leisure, and Spa. Collaborating with the GM, Finance, and Operations to maximize profits in line with TGOP and EBITDA targets. Ensuring pricing strategies and business review guidelines are in place to maximize sales and market share. Supporting marketing, sales, and PR activities, liaising with regional teams to optimize hotel performance. Working with Revenue Managers to establish optimal demand mix, review forecasts, and approve pricing strategies. Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, owners, and support teams to ensure commercial benefits. Presenting strategies to regional teams and stakeholders. Conforming to Hilton brand standards and reviewing market trends to adapt strategies accordingly. Participating in leadership activities within the hotel and region. What are we looking for? Ideal candidates will have: Local market knowledge and experience in hospitality/travel industry in Doha. At least 3 years of experience in a revenue-generating or commercial role, including presenting to senior executives. Experience working in a collaborative/matrix environment and managing a sales or commercial team. Additional advantageous qualities include experience in multi-complex hotel environments, knowledge of marketing, e Commerce, finance, and proficiency in the local language.
