Lead Aircraft Structural Maintenance Specialist

Job Role The Sheet Metal Engineer position involves overseeing and performing structural maintenance tasks on aircraft.Structural maintenance tasks include inspections, testing, repairs, and replacements in line with approved data.Issuing Certificates of Release to Service (CRS) for structural parts upon satisfactory completion of maintenance and verification against standards.Reviewing work instructions, task cards, and schedules to plan and oversee shop activities ensuring efficient operations.Providing guidance and supervision to technicians, ensuring tasks are performed to standard and in accordance with procedures.Investigating and resolving technical issues, performing root cause analysis for defects and coordinating with Engineering and Quality Assurance.Recording maintenance actions, defect findings, and parts usage accurately, ensuring documentation is complete and meets requirements.Ensuring availability and readiness of stock, tools, and equipment in compliance with standards and operational demands.Managing resource utilization to minimize waste and control costs.Enforcing adherence to safety precautions, human factors principles, and published procedures before, during, and after task execution.Maintaining communication and coordination with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and operational teams to ensure seamless maintenance operations.Presenting a professional image of the airline in interactions with stakeholders, regulatory representatives, and customers.Contributing to capability building and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, processes, and shop practices.
