Tyre Maintenance Specialist Optimize your career with this unique opportunity.Day-to-day operations: To inspect the condition and wear limits on all mobile plant equipment, including pneumatic, foam-filled, and solid tyres and wheels.Job Responsibilities: Regular inspection of pneumatic tyres' inflation pressure and filling as per manufacturer recommendations.Report any damage or abnormal wear patterns, or issues with multiple tyres/wheels.Maintain good working relationships with workers, foremen, supervisors, and management.Perform duties of a Foreman as required for individual projects.Work within allocated timescales to meet department targets.Attend training sessions as required by the department.Inspect outgoing vehicle tyres for condition and expiry date.During preventive maintenance, inspect tyres and provide feedback for replacement.Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.Follow daily operational procedures to ensure work continuity.Technical Competencies: Brief knowledge of tyre expiry dates and tread patterns.Able to use jacking and lifting equipment for tyre replacement.Familiarity with tyre replacement machines.Able to repair tubeless tyres and tubes.Minimum Education: Secondary school with a 6-month technical course or high school.Training: Shipyard training.Experience: At least 1 year of experience, preferably in a shipyard.Additional Details: Entry level position.Full-time employment.Job functions include management and manufacturing.Industries: Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Storage.
