Job Opportunity: Arts and Drama Teacher We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Arts and Drama teacher to join our team.The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and be able to inspire students to succeed. Our mission statement, Excite, Challenge, Empower, allows all students to thrive.Responsibilities: To deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed.To be a good communicator at all levels.To develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.To plan engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the curriculum.To work flexibly with colleagues and parents to ensure the best outcomes for children.Teaching and Learning: To have a clear understanding of the curriculum.To organise the classroom provision and create displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment.To plan, prepare, and present sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.To motivate pupils with enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.To observe and assess children in line with school assessments.Behaviour Management and Duties: To follow the school's behaviour policy.To manage classes effectively using approaches appropriate to students' needs.To maintain good relationships with pupils and exercise appropriate authority.To be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values, and behaviour expected of pupils.Wider Professional Responsibilities: To work as part of a curriculum action group supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to that team.To communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student achievements and well-being.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification.Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience.Key Skills and Qualities: Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children.Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
