Mechanical Equipment Specialist

Job Title: Mechanical Technician G2We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician G2 to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues. The technician serves as an expert technical resource reporting and interacting with onsite engineers and any third-party vendors.Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime.Key Responsibilities: Perform routine building maintenance tasks and daily visual inspections on major data center equipment.Daily check the healthiness of all facilities equipment and keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.Repair and maintenance work on a wide range of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing & ELV equipment.Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical systems.Maintain and operate all mechanical/HVAC related systems and associated equipment, mechanical equipment, building management system.Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operations.Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.Create job cards in CAFM (FSI) Mobile App as per site requirements and close job cards which engineer assigns.Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies calls.Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, mechanical systems, ELV system, HVAC system, and other trade-related systems.Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.Maintain essential stock of spare parts.Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.Attend training sessions and seminars.Other assigned tasks as requested.Skills Required: Good knowledge of mechanical systems (generators, chillers, pumps, motors, bearings).Good knowledge of cooling systems (HVACs, chillers, VRV).Good knowledge of ELV systems (DDC, BMS, access control system, CCTV, fire alarm system).Working knowledge of mechanical systems and associated tools and equipment.Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of mechanical system equipment and components.Personal Skills: Better English knowledge is required.Better working knowledge of PC systems, and CAFM Mobile Apps.Persistent and self-motivated.Excellent organizational skills and initiative to learn and take on new responsibilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Good problem-solving skills and ability to meet demanding time constraints.Self-motivated and independent.Excels with ambiguous situations as a chance to show leadership.Strong team player with the ability to influence/develop/maintain relationships with internal/external contacts.Qualifications: Technical Diploma Degree or ITI (with minimum 5+ yrs experience).1-2 year Experience in Data Center Maintenance Field.3+ year Total Experience in Mechanical/HVAC field in similar environment.Others: Data Center Certifications will be added advantage.
