Senior Officer Airside Works Approvals

About the Role: The role will ensure that the requirements of the GCAA Aerodrome Certificate, as well as the AD Airports and GCAA regulatory requirements for aerodrome works and projects, are fully met. This will be achieved through effective implementation and monitoring of all airside activities at all five Abu Dhabi airports, ensuring that all regulatory approvals and certifications are obtained.Key Job Responsibilities: Support the Manager and Senior Manager Airside Works Approvals with the initiation and full implementation of AMC 59, Operational and Special Ops approvals and other Airside Works Governance and Procedures at all 5 Abu Dhabi Airports.Manage the QMS/SMS parts of the department related to airside works.Build and verify a compliance matrix for all relevant regulations along with understanding of GCAA and other regulatory requirements.Develop a complete Risk Assessment for any projects/works in the airfield covering all aviation safety requirements.Developing, reviewing, updating and communicating AWAC/ATAC/AMC59/IDM and Daily Works Conference Calls and other airside works & safety policies, manuals and procedures to ensure that they are continually reviewed in order to meet the Aerodrome Certificate and GCAA Regulatory Requirements.Develop, review, update, and communicate AWAC, ATAC, AMC59, IDM, Daily Works Conference Calls, and other airside works and safety policies, manuals, and procedures to ensure they are continually reviewed to meet the Aerodrome Certificate and GCAA regulatory requirements.Actively participate continuous improvement activities i.e. Automation, CBT, Digitisation and Simplification of processes.Update and maintain the Aerodrome/ SMS manuals and other procedures relevant to Airside Works Approval as per regulatory requirements.Chair weekly Airside Works Approvals Committee, Airside Technical Assurance Committee, Daily Works Conference Calls, Familiarization Session, AMC59 Meetings as per the departmental SOP's.Develop monthly dashboard and presentations to senior management along with department KPIs.Update the aerodrome lookaheads and maintain an updated tracker of all works in the airfields.Lead AMC-59 and coordinate with ANS for AMC-25 requirements along with any security requirements with AVSEC and other regulatory approvals.Lead and represent the department in IMS and other forums as directed by senior management.Continually monitor the full compliance to the Aerodrome and Safety Management System Manual while providing oversight, guidance and assistance to other ADIA Departments and stakeholders as required.Required Education, Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Airside Works and Project Safety and Operation Management, AMPAP) OR substantial industry experience with proven roles, along with related courses, certifications, and accreditations deemed suitable and acceptable for the business and role.Relevant certifications in Aerodrome QMS, Safety Management Systems or equivalent experience Top competencies required: Experience in project management and aerodrome operations Excellent time management skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in IT - Skilled in influencing decisions and persuading others Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Analytical and problem-solving skills: proficient in analyzing data and resolving issues At Abu Dhabi Airports, we are shaping the future of aviation in the region.
