The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, following up with potential and existing clients, and actively managing the sales pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a ground-running position and is eager to contribute to business development and sales operations.The Sales & BD Manager will oversee GCC sales activities, including market research, lead generation, client engagement, and follow-up. They will work closely with the DGM located in India to ensure timely execution of sales strategies, focusing on OEMs and automotive clients across GCC and in India.Key Responsibilities: Sales: Develop and execute accessories sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base in the Indian automotive sector.Market Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new market opportunities for automotive products and services, focusing on OEMs and related stakeholders to generate qualified leads.Lead Generation and Prospecting: Engage in cold-calling, networking, and prospecting to find new clients. Maintain a database of leads and convert them into business opportunities.Follow-up: Manage and perform regular follow-ups with potential clients to nurture leads through the sales pipeline.Client Engagement: Develop relationships with clients, understand their requirements, and keep the DGM informed of progress. Coordinate meetings, events, and presentations with clients.Client Data Management: Maintain accurate records of client communications, sales activities, and potential deals in the CRM system, ensuring timely updates and follow-up actions.Sales Reporting: Prepare reports on market trends, competitor analysis, and sales pipeline status. Provide updates on sales versus plan, lead conversion, and forecasting.Product Promotion Support: Assist in executing marketing and promotional activities, including trade shows, presentations, and client events to promote automotive products.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams (design, engineering, operations) to ensure smooth delivery of products and services. Communicate client requests and feedback effectively.Customer Support: Address customer inquiries and provide solutions in collaboration with the DGM and relevant teams.Travel: Extensive travel within GCC and occasionally in India to meet clients and attend events or trade shows.Stay informed of market developments, including client activity, competitor behavior, and supplier trends, and leverage insights to improve conversion rates.Act as a liaison between clients and internal design/product engineering teams to communicate new product ideas and enhancements.Team Supervision: Oversee daily activities of the sales team, manage schedules, monitor performance, set targets, and ensure policy adherence.Key Requirements: Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).Experience: 7-10 years in accessories and/or automotive parts sales, business development, preferably from Multi-national OEM / Tier 1 companies.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the automotive industry and OEM relationships is a plus.Sales Skills: Experience in sales coordination, client follow-ups, pipeline management, lead generation, and forecasting.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities for interacting with clients and internal teams.Organization & Problem-Solving: Excellent organizational skills and ability to address client issues professionally.Teamwork & Attitude: Collaborative, proactive, and able to work independently under the guidance of the GM.Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate records and ensure seamless follow-up.Reporting Line: The Manager - Sales & BD reports directly to the GM.Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Business Development and Sales Industries Automotive Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Ultiwise Consult – Dubai's Best CV Writing & Job Search Services
