Highly Experienced Construction Inspector Wanted

Job Summary We are seeking a seasoned Construction Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract documents, coordinating daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors, processing incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, and performing necessary actions as directed by project leads.Duties: Maintain compliance with approved inspection plans, drawings, codes, and specifications.Liaise with senior architectural engineers and other professionals to provide support and guidance.Review and monitor variations to work to mitigate time and cost impacts for required changes.Monitor review of contractor's documents and shop drawings to flag and rectify issues affecting stability or function of architectural components or systems.Ensure contractor's compliance with approved Quality Control Plan.Coordinate project-related protocols for inspection of works by inspection teams.Monitor safety aspects when dealing with architectural installations.Provide reports on progress of architectural aspects of projects.Assist in expediting NOCs from relevant authorities if stalled or delayed.Maintain full site records, including daily site diaries in approved format, and formal monthly progress photography.Expedite approvals from clients if stalled or delaying project.Liaise with management of various contractors to expedite submissions and approvals process.Perform and/or evaluate tests confirming quality requirements, architectural finishes, and building components by conducting thorough site inspections for all architectural works as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.Field-check placement, location, and quality of architectural finishes, building structure components.Monitor contractor's compliance with approved Quality Control Plan.Coordinate with team on site to ensure contractual obligations are met.Perform architectural inspections and material inspections.Issue NCRs to contractors and assist in taking corrective actions.Ensure accuracy and compliance of inspection reports with requirements.Ensure execution and inspection are carried out as per inspection plan/drawings/codes/specifications.Ensure compliance of architectural works with design requirements, specifications, and project plan. Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of all submittals and testing inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc.Perform all work in accordance with Contract Administration Procedures Manual.Assist with inspection of completed works. Perform all other duties given by direct manager.Monitor and report on HSE related matters and participate in HSE training and meetings.Qualifications: A Diploma in Engineering is required for the Inspector position. A related Degree is required for Engineer level candidates.Safety training or certification would be a plus.Skills Required: Good knowledge in basic design requirements, familiar with architectural methodologies and finishes, and Building Codes.Experience in Buildings of all types, particularly horizontal development, mixed-use residential and commercial buildings, retail, and hospitality.Effective oral and written communication skills.Competent at writing reports – can present views clearly and concisely in good written English.Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.Behavioral Attributes: Good team player with high energy levels.Safety-conscious with a high level of work ethic.Ability to work under pressure and with professional judgment and a solutions-type approach.Experience: Experience in Architectural type projects required.
