Imagine working on innovative projects that make a difference in society.Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, supervising, and administering all aspects of engineering work.You will act as the Engineer with delegated authority and be directly responsible to the Employer during construction.You will communicate directly with the Contractor.You will observe and inspect the Contractor's construction activities.You will issue orders to correct non-compliant activities, work, materials, and equipment.You will direct, assist, and monitor the construction supervision team, including site engineers, work inspectors, and surveyors.You will provide assistance and advice to the Employer regarding variations, adjustments, and financial matters.You will provide recommendations to the Employer for Contractor payments, claims, and variation orders.You will advise on contractual and construction matters related to roadworks, utility diversions, traffic diversions, road furniture, and related works.You will supervise, review, monitor, and report on progress of roadworks and associated works.You will coordinate with design Engineers, Contractor, Client/PMC, and concerned Authorities.You will ensure safety goals are achieved and oversee implementation of safety procedures.You will submit reports on accidents or near misses and review Contractor's HSE reports.You will participate in health and safety issues and comply with safety, health, and risk management requirements.You will convene and chair regular site meetings.You will ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.You will ensure accuracy and completeness of records.You will report back to SRE/CM or Project Manager as necessary.Requirements: To succeed in this role, you must have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in roads, infrastructure, and utilities projects.Proven experience in supervising major road and general infrastructure projects, preferably in the Gulf region.Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or membership in similar professional organizations, is preferred.Strong emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control.Thorough understanding of contractual relationships.Proficient in computer technology for accessing data, maintaining records, generating reports, and using project-specific engineering and construction software.Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, opportunities for growth and development, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.Career Development Opportunities: We believe in investing in our employees' wellbeing and providing endless growth opportunities.
