Laboratory Technician And Document Controller Your Role at Cabot Analyzes in-process and final product samples to ensure compliance with quality standards. Evaluates and reports test results. Uses quality systems and ensures that daily operations are safe and compliant with SH&E requirements. Manages the plant's document control and its database. Reports to the Quality Manager and Quality Lab Supervisor. May also support research and development activities.How You Will Make An Impact Obtain samples from multiple locations and conduct analyses to determine product quality and reliability. Tests for quality, performance, and chemical characteristics.Evaluate and report test results accurately and promptly. Use Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) to record test data. Determine compliance with quality standards.Set up tests and equipment; conduct specialized functional tests on products or materials.Ensure test equipment is calibrated and operates safely. Coordinate with maintenance for any issues observed.Use systems to enter work orders and requisitions.Participate in scheduled safety meetings and complete safety training.Perform duties assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.Manage the plant's document control and database, including creating, revising, uploading, issuing, and retrieving obsolete documents.Support and participate in company goals and objectives.Contribute to ISO-9001 implementation and ensure compliance with requirements.Your Role at Cabot Analyze samples to ensure quality standards are met.Report test results and ensure safe, compliant operations.Manage document control processes.Support R&D activities as needed.What You Will Bring To Cabot Basic knowledge of analytical techniques, chemical handling, and laboratory procedures. ISO standards knowledge is a plus.Manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.Problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills in English. Computer literacy.
