Electrical Design Supervisor - Senior Energy Projects

Senior Electrical Design Supervisor We are seeking an experienced senior electrical design supervisor to lead our multidisciplinary energy projects. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex projects across various sectors.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering services for the oil and gas, chemical, refining, or petrochemical sectors. They will be responsible for overseeing all electrical engineering design and execution phases, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and on-time delivery.Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for basic and detailed electrical engineering, including scheduling and progress monitoring.Lead equipment sizing, electrical system design, and the development of key documents such as single-line diagrams, load calculations, and substation layouts.Supervise the procurement process of electrical equipment, ensuring specifications and technical requirements are met.Review and perform calculations for motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, field devices, and more.Coordinate with the construction team during execution, start-up, and commissioning to provide real-time technical support and solutions.Actively participate in the evaluation and selection of electrical systems, components, and suppliers to maintain and improve company standards.Review engineering documents, drawings, and vendor deliverables for accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with Procurement and Project teams to review vendor offers and develop internal procurement documentation.Apply project specifications, international codes (IEC), and relevant standards across all phases of design and execution.Lead and mentor the electrical design team; delegate tasks, review work, and support skill development.Supervise outsourced engineering activities when applicable.Represent the electrical discipline in internal and external engineering meetings, including client engagements.Take ownership of the most critical technical designs and provide guidance to junior engineers.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines across NOVARGI offices (India and Spain) to ensure alignment and integration of design deliverables.Candidate Profile: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering.Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 2 years of site-based experience as an Electrical Project Engineer.Strong background in engineering services for the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical sectors.Proven leadership experience managing electrical design teams within complex, multi-disciplinary projects.Advanced knowledge of relevant design software (ETAP, EPLAN, lighting design tools, etc.).Deep understanding of IEC and other applicable international electrical codes and standards.Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).Why Join Us?If you're passionate about creating better engineering solutions for a sustainable energy future, we offer you the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and global environment.
