Bar Back

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Yu & Mi Restaurant in Dubai, the Bar Back will assist and support the Bartenders to ensure the bar operation runs smoothly and efficiently. This position mainly involves manual handling; therefore, FLHSS is substantially covered. The Bar Back reports to the Bartender.As a Bar Back, you will be responsible for the following duties: Assist Bartenders by preparing and stocking the bar with supplies, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages.Manage inventory levels, assist with ordering and restocking items, and organise and shelf beverages before opening the bar.Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and well-maintained throughout shifts, and monitor the cleanliness and functionality of bar equipment.Support bartenders in preparing drinks, including mixing, garnishing, and serving as directed.Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, provide a high level of service, and assist with special events and promotions as needed.Comply with all corporate and hotel policies, standard operating procedures, and the MOHG Code of Conduct, and carry out any additional duties requested by management.As a Bar Back, we expect from you: Hold a High School qualification or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.Demonstrate the ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service, with strong knowledge in bar operations.Possess basic computer skills, including MS Office, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.Exhibit exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.Have physical capabilities to stand for long periods and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
