FOC Technical Specialist, Facility Operations Center AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continual access to our customers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards, providing capacity at low costs, and fostering an inclusive culture that empowers bold ideas.The AWS Data Center Community (DCC) is seeking a leader for the Facility Operation Center (FOC) team. The FOC monitors life-safety systems and infrastructure alarms 24/7, supporting Data Center Engineer Operations teams responsible for infrastructure operation.The FOC Technical Specialist facilitates customer-impacting events, analyzes systemic infrastructure issues, and serves as a subject matter expert. Responsibilities include designing and launching training content, maintaining documentation, mentoring team members, and leading operational efficiency initiatives. You will manage global projects, create reports, improve processes, and support team goals.Key job responsibilities Support during Critical Site (CSE) and Large Scale (LSE) events Analyze post-event data and review After Action Reports (AAR)Drive efficiency projects to reduce manual tasks Track project and program quality metrics Identify systemic issues through data analysis and implement solutions Collaborate with external teams to improve processes Create and maintain technical documentation Manage technical training and certification programs Act as FOC Point of Contact in the COE process About the team We value diverse experiences and encourage candidates to apply even if they do not meet all qualifications.
