Job Overview The Manager/Team Lead, Field Application Engineer (FAE), will oversee a team of FAEs responsible for the successful integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex robotic systems for customers.Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management Lead and manage a team of Field Application Engineers (FAEs), providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Ensure that the team is aligned with company goals, customer requirements, and project timelines.Manage team performance and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Project Management Oversee the implementation of complex robotic systems for customers, ensuring timely and successful project delivery. Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution.Robotics Integration & Troubleshooting Ensure seamless integration of robotic systems at the systems and scheduling level.Customer Relationship Management Act as the primary point of contact for customer-facing activities, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure that customer requirements are understood and that the technical team delivers solutions that exceed expectations.Technical Expertise & Support Provide technical support and training to the team and customers.Team Development & Training Develop the skills and capabilities of the FAE team by providing ongoing training, coaching, and professional development. Foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment within the team.Collaboration with Internal Teams Work closely with product management, systems engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure the successful deployment of robotic systems and to address any customer concerns or technical issues.Documentation & Reporting Ensure the FAE team maintains detailed records of projects, customer interactions, troubleshooting activities, and system configurations. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding project status, team performance, and customer feedback.Process Improvement Identify areas for process improvement within the FAE team and across the organization. Work to implement best practices that streamline operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve team efficiency.Qualifications: A degree in Robotics, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience in managing projects involving the implementation of complex robotic systems. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Proven experience leading and managing a team of technical professionals, such as Field Application Engineers or similar roles, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.Strong technical background in robotics, including hands-on experience with robotic arms, sensors, actuators, and control systems.Extensive experience working with customers, providing technical guidance, training, and support during the lifecycle of robotic systems.Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, resources, and project scope. Familiarity with resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring project deliverables meet customer expectations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to robotics systems, often under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including systems engineers, product management, and sales/marketing teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.Benefits: This role involves both office-based work and on-site customer-facing activities.
