WSP in the Middle East is looking for a Research and Development (R&D) Graduate Consultant - Ground Engineering to join us in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an R&D Graduate Consultant in Ground Engineering, you will assist experienced engineers and geotechnical professionals in pushing the boundaries of established practices with science-based approaches using cutting-edge technologies, including deep learning in computer vision, machine learning systems, and AI.Responsibilities Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies and implement best practices to reduce costs and improve project timelines using AI in engineering.Research and Analysis: Conduct research into emerging AI technologies and their applications within ground engineering.Data Collection: Gather and analyze data to guide project decisions, support AI strategies, and solve engineering challenges.AI Implementation: Collaborate with technical teams to deploy AI solutions across disciplines, utilizing tools like Microsoft Azure Sandbox.Innovation: Introduce modern methodologies to improve workflows from planning through execution.Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics and big data to make informed decisions, minimize risks, and enhance productivity.Research Leadership: Lead and publish research on industry innovations and best practices.Collaborative Projects: Partner with clients and global specialists on joint research initiatives.Outcomes: Grow your AI knowledge, enrich your portfolio, and contribute to impactful innovation initiatives at WSP.Qualifications Educational Background: MSc in AI, Data Science, Engineering, Transport Studies, or related fields. Candidates nearing graduation are considered.Technical Skills: Proficiency in AI technologies, data analysis, machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, and programming languages like Python or R. Experience with Microsoft Azure Sandbox is desirable.AI Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of AI and engineering principles, including workflows for data processing and analysis.Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Project Management: Effective management of multiple tasks and projects.Team Collaboration: Experience working in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.Passion for Innovation: Interest in using AI to advance ground and geotechnical engineering.Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.WSP supports work-life balance and flexible working arrangements.
