Description
CARDIOLOGY KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: "
Provides care to all age groups.Treats patients by reviewing and understanding their medical backgrounds and examining them to assess their current condition and health.Looks at and employs ways of preventing, diagnosing, and treating a range of heart-related problems.Carries out tests such as echocardiograms and interprets test results to measure how effectively the heart is working, which will help decide on the best method of treatment.Performs procedures, such as coronary angiography, to help treat cardiac diseases.Refers patients to other specialists if necessary."
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY"
The physician maintains an active DOH license consistent with specialty practiced at the hospital.The physician maintains an active privilege per the specialty that is consistent with the scope of services and the required experiences to practice it, renewable every 2 years.Applies scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to the diagnosis, treatment, and compassionate care of adults across the spectrum from health to complex illness.Participates in continuous quality improvement and any other work assigned by the HOD within the scope of the job."
DEPARTMENT SPECIALIZED RESPONSIBILITIES: "
Diagnoses and treats heart problems using non-invasive tests and treatments such as creating a customized fitness program or prescribing medication.Interventional cardiologists diagnose and perform various invasive procedures in treating cardiac disease.Provides patients with tools and methods for recovery and better quality of life.Educates patients, patient's family, significant others, and relevant parties of patient progress, treatment, and future goals.Abides by the rules of the Department & Section.Observes ethical standards compatible with contemporary medical practice.Promotes evidence-based decision-making.Ensures that a high professional standard of care is provided to patients under their care within the privileges assigned.Maintains involvement in continuing medical and interdisciplinary professional education to meet minimum DOH requirements.Recognizes the authority of the Head of Department, the Medical Director, the Medical Executive Committee, and the Medical Centre Director.Notifies the Head of Department, Medical Director, or Medical Centre Director of any actions or claims that may arise that may have an effect on the licensure of the employee to practice medicine.Performs other duties and tasks assigned by the Head of Department."

Key Requirements: "
Education: MBBS or MBCh B or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.Completion of specialty qualification as per the recognized Specialty Certificate table.Three years' experience post-qualification.Medical Board issued by the home country medical council.Licensed by Health Authority Abu Dhabi (DOH).Demonstrated ability to present self in a positive and professional manner, management aptitude, and experience.
