As a database performance and security specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Oracle databases, ensuring they meet the required standards of performance, security, and availability.Responsibilities and Expectations: Database Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, improving query execution plans, and adjusting configuration settings.Security Measures: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect databases from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with other systems and applications, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, best practices, and industry trends to drive innovation and improvement.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in database performance and security or a similar role.Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and security measures.Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database management tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
