Modon Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates Senior Tax Associate Modon Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Independently manage and ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT and Corporate Tax returns in accordance with FTA regulations and deadlines.Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support filings, audits, and internal reviews.Perform tax reconciliations and coordinate timely tax payments for the segment.Respond to tax-related queries from business units and escalate significant matters to the Group Tax Team if needed.Tax Registrations & Compliance Monitoring Handle tax registrations, de-registrations, and amendments for segment-level entities.Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring segment-level compliance while providing timely updates to the Group Tax Team.Assist in updating internal tax policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes.Work closely with segment finance teams to ensure proper tax compliance implementation.Tax Audit & Internal Controls Coordinate tax audits and assessments at the segment level by compiling supporting documents and responses.Implement and maintain internal tax controls to ensure compliance with tax policies and regulatory requirements.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping to meet FTA, regulatory, and internal audit standards.Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with finance, legal, and IT teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.Act as the segment's key tax contact, ensuring alignment with the Group Tax Team on compliance matters.Provide timely and accurate tax-related data for internal and external reporting.Process Improvement & Automation Leverage ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Yardi, SAP, etc.) to improve tax reporting accuracy and efficiency.Contribute to automation initiatives in tax processes, focusing on reducing manual intervention.Utilize Excel and other financial tools for tax data analysis and compliance monitoring.Job Purpose The Senior Tax Associate – Segment Level will oversee all tax-related matters within the segment, ensuring compliance with VAT, Corporate Tax, and other tax regulations. The role requires direct involvement in tax filings, audits, and compliance monitoring while keeping the Group Tax Team informed of key developments.
