Carpentry Specialist

The position of Mason is a critical role in maintaining and repairing floors, walls, and marbles within the hotel premises. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces are intact and functional.Key Responsibilities: Perform tasks following safe work practices and procedures Carry out all masonry work within the confines of the hotel on walls, floors, or any other items as directed Repair wall plaster and renderings Repair interior and exterior building walls Erect new walls and demolish existing walls as directed by the supervisor Repair existing wall and floor tile work and lay new tiles as instructed Respond immediately to health and safety concerns Foster environmentally friendly practices when handling chemicals, paints, varnishes, strippers, and other finishing products Respond promptly to guest requests in a professional and courteous manner Maintain and repair all civil work Ensure optimal condition and appearance of all civil and finishes through regular preventive maintenance Evaluate and respond appropriately to equipment usage Complete all work orders with due diligence Daily maintain the Civil log book highlighting problems and solutions, and activities Maintain equipment catalog and finishes/color directories Actively participate in monthly departmental meetings by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement Complete tasks assigned by Shift Supervisor Report and document potential safety hazards Participate in emergency response teams as directed Requirements : PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESProficient in all aspects of masonry refurbishment and maintenance, including basic knowledge of one other building operations skill set Able to use general repair tools, read shop drawings and specifications, make rough estimates of required materials, and translate operational needs Capable of working independently with good interpersonal skills Take a creative, practical, and proactive approach to problem-solving Possess an energetic and dynamic personality EXPERIENCEAt least 5 years' experience as a civil technician, preferably in the hospitality industry and/or engineering environment Benefits : No remote work options available Employment Type : Full-time employment
