Middle East and Africa Audit Leader

Job Title A key leadership role is available to oversee the internal audit function for our rapidly expanding businesses in the Middle East and Africa.This opportunity offers a unique experience of leading audit teams, working with senior stakeholders, and ensuring strong governance and risk management across the region.The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the insurance sector, a deep understanding of UAE regulatory requirements, and exceptional leadership and communication skills.Responsibilities Lead and develop the Internal Audit team to deliver risk-based audits across the region.Design and maintain a strategic audit plan aligned with our objectives, risks, and regulatory obligations.Manage execution of audits, including scoping, planning, supervision, documentation, and reporting.Prepare and deliver presentations regarding audit findings to stakeholders.Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and escalate overdue actions.Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a Postgraduate degree preferred.Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CIA are highly desirable.Minimum 10 years' experience in Internal Audit within the insurance sector, including at least 3 years in the UAE.Key Skills Sound knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks and financial reporting requirements.Strong technical expertise in accounting principles, control procedures, audit standards, and best practices.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.About Us We are a global organization dedicated to improving lives through better health.
