A Chief Steward is a vital role in ensuring exceptional service standards are implemented across various operational areas.Specifically, you will be responsible for: Leading the Stewarding department efficiently and effectively to deliver outstanding results.Maintaining high hygiene standards in all kitchen, banquet, and operational areas while minimizing breakage and loss of equipment.Ensuring seamless flow and supply of operating equipment in the kitchen, providing adequate cleaning items and useful equipment as needed.Oversighting cleanliness of all food and beverage outlets, including the Team Restaurant, to maintain a pristine environment.Assigning detailed work for stewards to update the steward operation manual, chemicals list, and cleaning schedule, preparing and controlling chemicals and equipment for daily use.Preparing and conducting monthly inventory, controlling and reporting on internal breakage and loss, and preparing chemical purchasing requests and equipment according to stock levels.Ensuring the Stewarding Team has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of compliance regulations affecting sanitation and hygiene, adhering to both internal and local legal requirements.Observing guidelines when handling hazardous substances and upholding all Health and Safety protocols.Collaborating with other departments to guarantee availability of essential items required for service at the right time.Key Skills and Qualifications Excellent organizational and planning skills.Strong communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.Capacity to work independently or as part of a team.Flexibility to respond to diverse work scenarios.Passion for building strong relationships with colleagues.The ideal candidate should possess a high school certificate or equivalent, along with any relevant qualifications. Previous experience in a supervisory role and background in the hotel/leisure industry would be advantageous.
