Our team of 2,400 experts across 30 global locations enables customers to make confident decisions by providing real‑time analytics, consultancy, events, and thought leadership.Main Responsibilities Delivering the Sales Strategy: Lead the development of client‑specific strategies, incorporating macro and micro‑economic factors to optimise the customer buying cycle.Growth and New Client Development: Pro‑actively inspire the assigned team to maximise commercial growth of Wood Mackenzie's portfolio to align with global priorities, establishing true commercial partnering relationships and delivering value.Market map the portfolio to maintain and grow existing clientele, and identify new business opportunities through cross‑selling, upselling and new product offerings.Brand Focus: Actively seek company brand development opportunities at conferences and networking events to expand brand recognition and promote business development activities.Deliver and present thought‑leadership articles and snapshots to potential clients.Relationship Management: Serve as the voice of the customer internally and represent Wood Mackenzie externally, ensuring alignment between client needs and organisational priorities.People Leadership: Attract, develop, and retain high‑performing talent aligned with business priorities, fostering an inclusive and engaged team culture.Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify skill gaps, recruit effectively, and ensure diverse and high‑quality hiring decisions.Onboard new hires effectively, embedding Wood Mackenzie's purpose, strategy, and culture from day one.Drive performance through clear goal setting, regular feedback, coaching, and structured career development conversations.Encourage ownership of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and support continuous growth.Conduct regular performance and talent reviews, addressing underperformance proactively and recognising achievement.Ensure effective communication, collaboration, and compliance across all team operations, including utilisation, policies, and engagement initiatives.Lead engagement and retention initiatives to maintain motivation and reduce attrition.Cascade company updates, share insights upward, and act as a trusted leadership voice within the organisation.About You Skilled in creating a culture of ownership and accountability for performance, behaviour, and growth.Skilled in performance management and handling difficult conversations.Strong organisational skills and ability to balance people and business needs.Able to drive engagement and motivate teams in a high‑demand environment.Strong communicator, able to distil and cascade complex messages clearly.Trusted and approachable, with high levels of emotional and cultural intelligence.Trusted decision‑maker, confident in reward, promotion, and performance outcomes.Highly results‑driven, strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.Orientation towards optimising interfaces between Sales, Marketing and other Wood Mackenzie divisions.Extensive experience in B2B business information markets.Extensive experience developing and managing relationships with large clients.Proven commercial track record in winning and developing large multinational clients.Ability to represent Wood Mackenzie credibly in front of senior industry figures.Ability to interpret and execute strategic initiatives independently.Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.Strong organisational and planning skills with proficiency in Salesforce adoption.Expectations Delivery of team sales targets.Strong employee engagement scores within team.Demonstrated effectiveness in addressing performance issues promptly and fairly.Clear documentation of performance and development discussions.Role model strong integrity and sets an example of Wood Mackenzie's values and behaviours.Maintains employee confidentiality, including personal data and information for management use only.Supports business decisions regardless of personal agreement.Addresses behaviours that may impact organisational culture and values.Hybrid working – successful applicant expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week; flexible as needed to accommodate different time zones.Part‑time or flexible working arrangements may be considered.Values Inclusive – we succeed together.Trusting – we choose to trust each other.Customer committed – we put customers at the heart of our decisions.Future focused – we accelerate change.Curious – we turn knowledge into action.Equal Opportunities We are an equal opportunities employer.
