Calypso Developer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer with a strong background in Calypso development. This role involves customization, maintenance, and enhancement of Calypso systems to support wealth management operations.Key Responsibilities Customization and Development: Handle customization change requests on reports, scheduled tasks, custom engines, pricer measures, transfers, messages, data uploaders, workflows, task stations, back office positions, and accounting in Calypso.Develop and enhance modules for products such as repos, security lending, Islamic products, simple transfers, corporate actions, swaps, CDS indexes, and money market funds.Engage in production delivery and support activities, addressing any issues that arise.Collaborate with the service delivery team to resolve production issues and provide effective solutions to clients.Interact with clients to define business requirements and scope of modules.Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring smooth implementation and operation of Calypso systems.Technical Expertise Utilize advanced knowledge of Calypso V14 & V16, core Java 8, and shell scripting for effective system development.Implement and optimize SQL queries and maintain Calypso tables.Conduct transversal activities such as Calypso installation, deployment using Jenkins and Ansible Tower, patching, and environment maintenance (DEV, UAT, PROD).Experience4-7 years of experience in Calypso development.Previous experience as a Calypso technical lead or senior developer, preferably in a wealth management or financial services environment.Technical Skills Proficiency in Calypso V14 & V16, core Java 8, shell scripting, and Oracle databases.Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven.Knowledge of continuous integration tools like Jenkins.Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.Expertise in Agile Scrum methodology.Additional Competencies Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.Knowledge of JVM garbage collection, exception handling, multithreading, and collections framework.Experience with declarative programming styles (Java 8).Ability to develop creative solutions for complex problems.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Design and Engineering Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Location: Dubai#J-18808-Ljbffr
